Comprehensive Psychiatric Evaluation

There are used for initial visit to offer detailed assessment of clients symptoms establish a diagnosis and develop an individualized care plan towards treatment.

Treatment Planning

Treatment planning is a process in which the provider tailors, to the greatest extent possible, the application of available treatment resources to each client's individual goals and needs. A thorough multidimensional assessment is essential to individualized treatment planning.

Medication Management

Individualized strategy to evaluate appropriate medication. Provide prescription when necessary to ensure safety and planned therapeutic outcomes. Provide evidence based ongoing monitoring to ensure therapeutic outcomes.

Counseling Services

Evidence based use of therapy modalities, psychotherapeutic to identify and  establish effective coping strategies for personal, social  or psychological problems.

psychopharmacology / Medication education.

Psychoeducation (PE) is defined as an intervention with systematic, structured, and didactic knowledge transfer for an illness and its treatment, integrating emotional and motivational aspects to enable patients to cope with the illness and to improve its treatment adherence and efficacy.

Anxiety Disorders

Generalized anxiety disorder usually involves a persistent feeling of anxiety or dread, which can interfere with daily life.

Bipolar Disorders

A disorder associated with episodes of mood swings ranging from depressive lows to manic highs.

Depression (major depressive disorder) is a common and serious medical illness that negatively affects how you feel, the way you think and how you act.

Insomnia

Personality Disorders

A personality disorder is a type of mental disorder in which you have a rigid and unhealthy pattern of thinking, functioning and behaving. A person with a personality disorder has trouble perceiving and relating to situations and people.

Neurocognitive Disorders

Neurocognitive disorder is a general term that describes decreased mental function due to a medical disease other than a psychiatric illness. It is often used synonymously (but incorrectly) with dementia. The major areas of the brain have one or more specific functions.

PTSD Related Disorders

Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a disorder that develops in some people who have experienced a shocking, scary, or dangerous event.

Family Issues

No family is perfect, but for people whose family life has never been outright "bad," it can be tricky to spot family issues as they arise. Family problems are much more than abuse or addiction, for example, and include a host of different things that affect every member of a family.

Schizophrenia

Schizophrenia is a serious mental disorder in which people interpret reality abnormally. Schizophrenia may result in some combination of hallucinations, delusions, and extremely disordered thinking and behavior that impairs daily functioning, and can be disabling.

ADHD & ADD

ADHD often begins in childhood and can persist into adulthood. It may contribute to low self-esteem, troubled relationships, and difficulty at school or work. Symptoms include limited attention and hyperactivity.

Addiction / Substance Abuse

Substances such as alcohol, marijuana and nicotine also are considered drugs. When you're addicted, you may continue using the drug despite the harm it causes.

What is the difference between Therapy and Psychiatry?

Therapy, which is often referred to as psychotherapy, is a treatment method utilized for mental and mood disorders. Psychotherapists (those utilizing psychotherapy techniques) include psychologists, therapists, social workers, and counselors.

Psychiatry is another method of treating mental and mood disorders. This medical specialization allows providers such as psychiatrists, medical doctors, or nurse practitioners to provide an in-depth understanding of a client’s issue and prescribe medication as appropriate.

How often are appointments?

Appointments are scheduled on a case to case basis depending on medication adjustments and a client's stability.

Will I get a prescription?

We conduct assessments to determine the best treatment plan and can prescribe medications for situations requiring medication intervention however, they are not necessary in every case.

I am on a controlled medication, can I still be prescribed all my medications?"

We follow the DEA regulation and the Ryan Haight Act on our prescription on controlled substances.

What age groups do you treat?

We currently see patients between ages of 16 and above.
